A way to remember
Points are only awarded after a Perfect card, so they reflect a sentence you got right, not a message you sent.
Each word is worth more the rarer it is. A word's base value is its place in the frequency list divided by a hundred, rounded up, so common words stay modest and rare ones pay properly.
A mistake, or taking a hint, means the word owes three correct answers in a row. While it owes them it pays nothing, and the answer that clears it pays 5x rather than 10x.
